WCAG 2.5.7: Dragging Movements
WCAG 2.5.7 Dragging Movements is a level AA success criterion from WCAG 2.2. Actions that use dragging also have a single-pointer alternative, unless dragging is essential.
People who cannot drag still need to reorder or move a slider.
How to test
Find sliders and reorder lists. Buttons or inputs should do the same job.
How to fix
Add buttons, or a numeric field, beside the drag control.
Example that fails
A price filter moves only by dragging a handle.
Example that passes the check
Min and max number fields sit next to the slider.
Shopify
Collection filters that drag need number inputs as well. Check filter apps.
WooCommerce
Add number inputs beside price sliders.
WordPress
Provide buttons for any drag-to-reorder on the public site.
Wix
Add inputs next to range sliders.
